Cyberplanetary
Many worlds. Shared possibilities.
Building doors and opening worlds.
Building worlds shouldn’t require everyone to build them the same way. Cyberplanetary is my work on reusable infrastructure for worlds: ways to organize them, describe them, discover them, and coordinate their state.
Some people want an experience they can simply open and enjoy. Others want software they can inspect, control, and host themselves. Different worlds will need different rules. The standards should preserve those choices.
The goal is a method for building and using catalogs, rather than one central catalog everyone must depend on. These are building blocks that can support a range of worlds, including worlds that do not need a planet’s terrain, a vast simulated landscape, or a visual environment at all.
One part of a larger undertaking.
